Welcome to The Resistance…

“What is the Resistance?” You may be wondering. We are a collection of teens, just like you, that have chosen to gather together under the Rulership and Reign of Jesus Christ. Our Goal is to bring Him glory and honor in what we say, what we do, and through who we are.

“But why ‘resistance’?” The meaning of the word “resistance” means: the power or capacity to resist : as a : the inherent ability of an organism to resist harmful influences (as disease, toxic agents, or infection). Our theme verse, our banner, is James 4:7 “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” We have chosen to submit our hearts under His loving leadership, and to resist the temptations of this world. In other words, we are free. Free to bring hope and love to the world around us. Free to offer a hope to the hopeless, a place of refuge for the oppressed. We are free to lift up our neighbor to our God, to pray for this world, and to love it as He has.

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.” (John 3:16-17 The Message)
